What is the best time to visit the Algarve?
It depends on your priorities. Summer (June-Aug) for beaches, Spring (Mar-May) for hiking and nature, Autumn (Sep-Nov) for wine and photography, Winter (Dec-Feb) for golf and low prices.
Is the Algarve good in winter?
Yes! The Algarve has 300+ sunny days per year. Winter temperatures are mild (12-17°C), perfect for golf, hiking, and exploring without crowds.
When is the sea warmest in the Algarve?
August and September, when sea temperatures reach 21-23°C. Even in October, the water is often warmer than UK summer seas!
How far in advance should I book transfers for summer?
For summer (June-August) we recommend booking at least 1 week in advance, especially for group vans and late-night transfers. Spring, autumn, and winter can usually be booked 1-2 days ahead.
