Your Plane Lands
The moment the wheels touch down
Faro Airport is tiny. That's actually good news. The taxiing takes 2-3 minutes — you're not sitting on a runway for 15 minutes like at Heathrow or Schiphol.
Once the plane stops, you'll taxi to the gate and walk down air stairs or through a jet bridge. The terminal is a single building — you can't get lost.

Baggage Claim
Carousel 1 or 2 — usually fast
Faro uses Carousel 1 and Carousel 2 for most flights. Which one depends on your airline — but both are visible from the exit.
Average wait: 12 minutes from the moment you reach the carousel to your bag appearing. In summer, add 5-10 minutes if your flight was full.

You push through the sliding glass doors and enter the main Arrivals Hall. You'll see car hire desks (Europcar, Hertz) on your right and the taxi rank straight ahead through the exit doors. But that's not where you're going.

Car Park 4 (Licensed Tour Operators Area) is located outside the terminal building, to the left as you exit the Arrivals Hall. It's a covered area where all licensed transfer operators wait for pre-booked passengers.
How to get there: Exit the sliding glass doors into the Arrivals Hall. Turn left. Exit the terminal building through the side doors. Follow the covered walkway for approximately 30 seconds. Car Park 4 is directly ahead.
